The Badgers offered Tyler Kielmeyer, a three-star class of 2025 tight end from Westerville, Ohio, on Wednesday. The 6-foot-7, 235-pound athlete is a junior at Westerville South and he’ll have one more year of high school football before potentially making the leap to the collegiate level.
Kielmeyer has now received 12 Division 1 offers, including Illinois, Michigan State and Wisconsin within the Big Ten. Considering his impressive size, the tight end could garner a great amount of interest across the college landscape in the coming months.
Tight end was a position of need for the Badgers heading into this offseason and they’ve added four-star Grant Stec (Algonquin, IL) and three-star Rob Booker (Waunakee, WI) in their class of 2024.
