With September 1 being the first time that schools could initiate contact with class of 2022 targets, offers naturally began to fly out to a talented group. The Badgers contacted a number of players from around the country yesterday, and began adding to their offers in 2022.
One of the first Wisconsin offers made on September 1 went out to Joseph Griffin Jr., a 6-foot-4, athletic WR out of Central High School in Springfield, Massachusetts.

Griffin Jr. is a talented, physical WR who has been receiving a plethora of attention since yesterday. “I currently have offers from Boston College and UMASS,” Griffin Jr. told BadgersWire yesterday. “Schools that have shown interest are Temple University, Maryland, Cal, Howard, and Michigan State.”
In his Hudl film, the 2022 WR excels in jump ball situations, and wins a high percentage of one on one battles in the air. “As a player I am a big, fast, strong and athletic receiver,” Griffin Jr. said to BadgersWire. “I pay attention to the little details. I am a go and get it type of receiver that wins jump ball situations. I am a team player.”
Griffin Jr. is excited to learn more about the Wisconsin way. “Honestly, I would like to know more about Wisconsin. I want to take a deeper look into it because everything plays a part.”
The Badgers, alongside the rest of the nation, have been active since the September 1 window opened. Stay with us at BadgersWire for recruiting updates throughout the week during a busy time for the class of 2022.
