Wisconsin landed its second commitment in three days in the 2021 recruiting class as the Badgers landed Mequon Homestead High School linebacker Ayo Adebogun.
Adebogun was recruited by special teams coach Chris Haering and Adebogun future position coach in Bobby April. Wisconsin was the only offer for the consensus three-star linebacker.
Adebogun was also receiving interest from Iowa and Michigan State. This past season Adebogun for Mequon Homestead registered 75 tackles, 31 tackles for loss, 16 sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception, and a fumble recovery.
With the commitment by Adebogun gives the Badgers four of the top five rated players in the state of Wisconsin according to both Rivals and 247 Sports. Adebogun joins fellow in-state prospects Jackson Acker (Verona), J.P. Benzschawel (Grafton), and Loyal Crawford (Eau Claire Memorial). Overall Wisconsin has seven players committed in the 2021 class as the other three players are quarterback Deacon Hill, offensive lineman Riley Mahlman, and linebacker Bryan Sanborn.
