Wisconsin basketball has long controlled recruiting in the state of Minnesota and built its roster from the state. Although Daniel Freitag will technically play this year of high school basketball in California at Southern California Academy, the Badgers have two of the top three players yet again in the state of Minnesota for the 2024 class.
Freitag is No. 2 in the state according to 247Sports, while fellow Wisconsin commit Jack Robison is No. 3 in Minnesota.
The Badgers have offered the current top player in the state, Jackson McAndrew, although there is no clear traction at this time between him and Wisconsin.
