Wisconsin football will begin training camp at a new location this year

Instead of beginning the grueling month of August practice at home on the Camp Randall field, Wisconsin will hit the road from August 1-8 when they begin training camp.

The school announced last week that the Badgers will begin camp on the road, as Wisconsin will head to UW-Platteville from August 1-8 before returning home to Camp Randall.

“We are extremely grateful to partner with UW-Platteville on this opportunity,” Fickell said in a recent press release from the school. “This is a tremendous way for our team to start fall camp and focus on coming together as a group both on and off the field. I think it will greatly benefit us as we prepare for the season.”

For a Division II school, UW-Platteville does boast some of the best facilities in the country.
