Wisconsin basketball PF Imani Lewis takes home Big Ten Player of the Week

Imani Lewis earns a big-time honor

The Wisconsin women’s basketball team is finding their stride over the past week, all led by junior forward Imani Lewis. Their biggest win of the season, and arguably of the past few years, came this past Wednesday when the Badgers took down the No. 12 Ohio State Buckeyes 75-70 at the Kohl Center.

Lewis was everything for Wisconsin in that win as she dominated the offensive glass, used her patented left hand to get buckets, and finished with a career-high 27 points. How did the junior follow it up just a few days later in a loss to Minnesota. Matching her career-high yet again with 27 points.

As a reward, the Badger standout earned the first Wisconsin Big Ten Player of the Week award since 2014 when Taylor Wurtz took home the honor. The conference announced the honor on Monday:
