Wisconsin’s last appearance at the Maui Invitational came in 2016, when the Badgers fell in the championship game against North Carolina after beating Tennessee and Georgetown.
According to UWBadgers.com, teams that have played in the Maui Invitational hold 69 of the 81 NCAA basketball championships. There have also been seven schools that have won the NCAA championship after playing in that year’s Maui Invitational.
