Greg Gard and the Wisconsin Badgers have just one scholarship player committed in the 2022 class. 6-foot-4 shooting guard Connor Essegian is that lone signee, and the Indiana native has been lauded as one of the nation’s premier shooters in the 2022 class.
Last night, Essegian amassed 2,00 points for his career, making him the all-time leading scorer in Central Noble High School history. It was a record that had previously stood for 53 years.
The three-star shooting guard committed to Wisconsin over offers from Creighton, Butler, Wake Forest, George Mason, Belmont and several others.
Per 247Sports, Essegian is the 250th ranked player in the nation, and the 33rd ranked shooting guard.
For the first time in Noble County history, we have a 2,000 point scorer! @CEssegian has made history! What a game! What a career for the future @BadgerMBB!!
