Willie McGinest has full faith that Tom Brady will excel in Bruce Arians’ offense

It’s the first time Tom Brady has learned a new offense in 20 years.

Willie McGinest put together a list of the most talented teammates he’s ever played with, and quarterback Tom Brady was, unsurprisingly, the No. 1 person on the list. Their time together with the New England Patriots seemed to make a major impression on McGinest.

In the process of McGinest explaining why Brady is the best teammate, the linebacker touched upon his optimism with the quarterback transitioning from the New England Patriots to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason. Though Brady has played in the same system for 20 years with the Patriots, McGinest has no doubt that Brady will excel in a new offense with Bruce Arians and the Buccaneers.

Here’s what McGinest, an analyst at NFL Network, wrote for NFL.com:

“I’ve known Brady a long time, and there’s not much I haven’t already said. His competitive nature, work ethic and ability to perform at the highest level in the most pressure-packed situations are why he’s considered the best to ever play our game. It’s why he’s won three league MVP awards. It’s why he’s won SIX Lombardi Trophies. It’s why he’s still playing at 42 years old (he’ll turn 43 in August). The one thing I’ll point out in this piece is that Brady can work in any system and with anyone. He’s always been about the success of the team, so I can’t wait to watch how this new chapter unfolds in Tampa. His competitive nature won’t let him fail.”
