Will USC basketball land four-star Emmanuel Stephen?

Arizona is viewed as the school with the inside track, but USC is in the mix.

USC has its eye on a top basketball prospect. Emmanuel Stephen announced a final five of Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Miami, and the USC Trojans, but two 247Sports analysts and the burnerball.com experts have predicted Arizona will land the four-star recruit. The announcement will be streamed live via 247 Sports‘ YouTube channel.

A 7-foot, 215-pound native of Nigeria in the high school class of 2024, Stephen rose quickly up the recruiting rankings in the offseason. While playing for Paul George Elite last spring, he led the EYBL circuit in blocks at 2.8 per game. In July, he was named the Defensive MVP of the Peach Jam tournament, the prestigious finals of the EYBL, by averaging 7 points, 9.8 rebounds and 3.8 blocks a game.

“I like Arizona because coach Tommy Lloyd plays his bigs,” Stephen told On3. “I like the school culture and they take basketball seriously. Tommy Lloyd likes international players, and I’m an international since I’m from Nigeria.”

Stephen is ranked the No. 85 prospect in the class according to 247Sports, as well as the No. 15 center and No. 4 prospect in the state of Arizona.
