If you’ve been searching the internet for a betting line on this NFC matchup between the Washington Football Team and the Detroit Lions set to take place on Sunday afternoon, you may be out of luck for a day or two more.
While it’s being reported that Lions QB Matthew Stafford is out of concussion protocol and cleared to play, it appears that sportsbooks are being extremely cautious when setting a line for this matchup, which by all means should be pretty tightly contested. However, it’s not too early to find out if you’ll be able to watch this game on TV in your area, thanks to the coverage maps from 506 Sports.
Understandably so, this game between NFC bottom-dwellers is going to be televised in few places outside of the DMV and Detroit areas. With Kyle Allen knocked out for the season, it will be Alex Smith vs. Stafford in a battle of the old guard, and while both teams have shown some upside this season, there isn’t much expectation for a thrilling game.
If Washington is to kick-start their march towards the top of the NFC East, it becomes absolutely imperative that they win this game against the Lions. If not, it may be time to pull the plug on the entire season and start eyeing those mock draft boards, if you haven’t already.
