Will Isiah Pacheco play this week? Injury updates for Chiefs RB

#Chiefs RB Isiah Pacheco is dealing with a leg injury. Here are the latest updates.

Isiah Pacheco was on a hot streak as the Kansas City Chiefs’ leading rusher before his season came to an abrupt halt when he fractured a fibula in the defending Super Bowl champions’ Week 12 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Will Pacheco be ready to make his comeback on Black Friday when the Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 13?

Isiah Pacheco injury update

While Pacheco has maintained his designation for return from Kansas City’s injured reserve list, he was a full participant in both of the Chiefs’ practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, and may finally be activated in Week 13.

When asked about Pacheco and defensive lineman Charles Omenihu, who has also been designated to return from injured reserve, head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Wednesday that:

“I mean, as long as they’re (Isiah Pacheco and Charles Omenihu) okay. We’ll check on it again today, I’ve been trying to take it day-by-day. If they’re good after today then we’ll play them, yep.”

How long will Isiah Pacheco be out?

It is unclear how much more time Pacheco might need to miss if he is unable to return to the field in Week 13.

Chiefs RB depth chart

In Pachecho’s absence, Kansas City has primarily relied on Kareem Hunt to lead its ground game. Samaje Perine, Carson Steele, and Clyde Edwards-Helaire will also be available to play against Las Vegas.
