Will Alabama remain at the top of college football after Week 5?

Are the Crimson Tide in jeopardy of falling from the top of the rankings?

Alabama is fresh off of an impressive 42-21 win against Ole Miss, the No. 12 team in the country, on Saturday, and they could still be in danger of losing the No. 1 spot atop the rankings.

With Georgia’s impressive 37-0 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks, it’s possible that the Bulldogs take over the No. 1 spot from the Crimson Tide.

While it doesn’t matter yet, we’re drawing closer to 2021’s initial CFP rankings, which matter a great deal if the top team wants to play close to home.

So, you might ask, what do I think?

While there is some threat for Georgia to take away some of Alabama’s first-place votes, I don’t think they will earn enough points to overtake the top spot.

While Georgia’s 37-0 win against the No. 8 program in the country is a very impressive win, the Crimson Tide didn’t do much this week to make anybody think they should drop.

Alabama’s rushing game proved to finally be running on all cylinders, and the defense stepped up in a major way on Saturday. They were even able to limit the penalties, which has been an issue all season thus far.

Hey, if I’m wrong, feel free to tweet at me and let me know. Until then, I’m sticking to my guns and saying that the Alabama Crimson Tide will remain No. 1 in the polls come Sunday.
