The Raiders might look to Aidan O’Connell as the quarterback after Gardner Minshew suffered a broken collarbone in the loss to the Broncos last week.
O’Connell has been on the IR since October, though, with a broken thumb. The initial timeline for his return was estimated to be 4-6 weeks.
Will the former Purdue QB take snaps on Friday?

O’Connnell is on track to return for the Raiders. He suffered a broken thumb and has been on IR but … he is ready to go again.
The #Raiders are preparing to start Aidan O’Connell at QB on Friday against the #Chiefs, per sources.
On IR since breaking his thumb in Week 7, O’Connell returned to practice Monday and got the first-team reps. As long as the week goes well, it’s AOC time again. pic.twitter.com/XoVHAOuJK9

One point to remember: O’Connell was the quarterback last season when the Raiders defeated the Chiefs in one of their two meetings.

After the Minshew injury, the Raiders only have Desmond Ridder at quarterback.
