Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie got awful close to the free agency market.
Instead of testing the waters and seeing what’s out there when the “tampering period” opened on Monday, he re-signed with the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
McKenzie, 26, kept it pretty simple as to why he ended up back in Buffalo. That’s what he felt was right for him in the end.
“I really wanted to be here,” McKenzie said. “It didn’t take much for me to be back. I really like being here. I really like being on this team.”
In addition, there was another layer for the receiver and return man: Loyalty.
McKenzie said he gets that from the Bills. He wanted to give it right back by not playing hard ball and coming back.
