Why do so many Georgia and Florida players want to play for USC?

Is there something uniquely attractive about the new-look #B1G which helps #USC recruit in Georgia and Florida?

It is hard — if not impossible — to avoid one specific fact about USC’s growing 2024 recruiting class: the significant representation of Georgia and Florida recruits.

Jarvis Boatwright and Jason Zandamela are both from Clearwater, Fla. Kameryn Fountain is from Atlanta. Walter Matthews is from Hiram, Ga.

Four of the 12 players recruited for the 2024 class are from either Florida or Georgia. Four players are from California. Four players are from other states: Texas, Colorado, Connecticut, and Oregon.

What is the lure for these players, who lived in SEC country, to play in Los Angeles and in the Big Ten Conference?

Yes, USC’s brand and the quality of the program Lincoln Riley is building are at the top of the list when assessing why the Trojans are attracting recruits from across the country. Yet, could there be something about the new-look Big Ten which recruits find uniquely attractive?
