Why are the Boston Celtics still having late-game execution issues?

If the Celtics want to be in the best position possible to finally hang Banner 18, they will need to address this shortcoming.

The Boston Celtics may be the NBA’s best team by a country mile as we inch closer to wrapping up the 2023-24 regular season, but they still have some work to do if they want to win the 2024 NBA Finals.

As good as the five All-Star caliber starters the Celtics can deploy on their opponents are, and is competent as their bench may be, Boston still has significant issues closing out close games against the league’s best ball clubs. If the Celtics want to be in the best position possible to finally hang Banner 18, they will need to address this shortcoming — and in a hurry.

The hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” and “Talkin’ Cs” podcasts took a closer look at some recent examples of issues with late game execution on a recent episode. Check it out below!
