Should Tampa Bay win this one and the New Orleans Saints lose to the Los Angeles Rams, the Bucs would need to beat either the Saints or Panthers in their last two games. That variability is a big boon to the team’s playoff chances, offering an even greater motivation to win.
The Jaguars, meanwhile, could be without their starting quarterback. QB Trevor Lawrence suffered a concussion against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 15 and did not practice on Monday, so his status is up in the air. Should he not be able to go, the Bucs would face QB C.J. Beathard.
