The Boston Celtics are facing tough decisions about their roster and rotations as they have too many players in training camp and not enough floor time to go around as-is as well. Some players, particularly in the frontcourt, are under pressure to secure a spot. Luke Kornet, in particular, needs to demonstrate more toughness and defensive abilities even if it is unlikely he’d be moved or cut before the start of the season.
Other forwards like Lamar Stevens and Oshea Brissett seem more likely to stick with a clear role on the team and the motor to match the goals of the team as a contender. Meanwhile, forwards Sam Hauser and Svi Mykhailiuk are competing for floor time as well, with Hauser struggling with his shooting so far. The team is emphasizing defense again, and players who can contribute in that area are valued.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Garden Report” podcast took some to break down the situation in a recent episode.
Take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
