Who are the top teams in the first College Football Playoff rankings?

Alabama is No. 1, Notre Dame No. 2 but what other schools landed where in the College Football Playoff rankings

The first rankings have been released for the College Football Playoffs. The season is uneven, to say the least as some schools have played close to a full schedule while others have played a handful of games or less.

The top team was no surprise, Alabama. Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide are 7-0 heading into Saturday’s Iron Bowl against Auburn.

1. Alabama … for the 19th week, most in CFP history, twice more than any other school

2. Notre Dame

3. Clemson, which will likely get a chance to avenge its lone loss in the ACC Championship Game against the Fighting Irish

4. Ohio State

5. Texas A&M

6 Florida, which lost to Texas A&M

As for the rest:

BYU turned up in the 14th spot despite being 9-0, one slot ahead of Oregon, which is 3-0.
