Who are the experts picking for Penn State’s matchup against Ohio State?

Here’s who the experts are picking for Penn State’s matchup against Ohio State.

Penn State is coming off of a blowout win over Minnesota in a game that was all the Nittany Lions. A team that was without starting quarterback Tanner Morgan last weekend really struggled to find any momentum throughout all four quarters.

Now, Penn State is back home once again to take on an even tougher test. The Ohio State Buckeyes.

Could this be a game where the Nittany Lions are potentially on upset alert? It does seem hard to believe that as of right now.

But, in Penn State’s defense, as impressive as Ohio State looks, they haven’t really played any good team yet this season. So, the Nittany Lions will be a good test for them.

Penn State put up a good fight last year, but eventually lost 33-24. Can they do it again? It is possible, but it will certainly be tough.

Let’s take a look at who the experts are picking for Penn State’s matchup against Ohio State on Saturday.

First, let’s do a little background on some key players for the Buckeyes.

CJ Stroud is continuing to put himself in the Heisman race with an impressive 2022 season. So far, Stroud leads the country in touchdown passes with 28. On top of that, he also leads the nation with a 92.6 quarterback rating.

The Buckeyes have been without Jaxon Smith-Njigba, but that hasn’t affected them at all. They have had players like Marvin Harrison Jr. and Emeka Egbuka pop off.

As for their run game, it isn’t just the TreyVeyon Henderson show this season for the Buckeyes. They also have another impressive running back in Miyan Williams to watch out for.

Now, back to our expert picks.

First, ESPN is giving the Nittany Lions just a 20.4% chance to win while the Buckeyes have a 79.6% chance to win.

Next up, we have the writers over at College Football News. Every single writer is picking the Buckeyes to take down the Nittany Lions.

Next up, we have Max Escarpio from Bleacher Report. After a 33-24 Penn State loss last season, Escarpio is picking Ohio State to take down Penn State with a final score of 37-28. That offense will just be too much for the Nittany Lions to handle on Saturday.

Lastly, we have the writers over at Athlon Sports. Of their three writers, they are all picking the Nittany Lions to take down the Buckeyes on Saturday.

Anything can happen. This will be the first real test of the season for Ohio State. Penn State has the talent this season, but it will certainly be a tough matchup for them on Saturday at Beaver Stadium.
