Which rosters are best constructed for the modern NBA (and are the Boston Celtics one of them)?

What should a contemporary NBA roster look like to succeed?

There was actually a moment when some analysts (and fans) wanted to split star Boston Celtics wings Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown, but the pair of Celtics small forwards figured out how to amplify their respective strengths to quash that malformed plan.

Now, the pair are seen as emblematic of what you want on a modern NBA roster in some corners. But what about the rest of the team? The host of The Athletic “Game Theory” podcast, Sam Vecenie, was recently joined by Athletic editor and author of “Spaced Out” — an excellent tome on modern NBA basketball — Mike Prada to discuss which teams best exemplify the modern league.

Take a look at the clip embedded below to see where Boston falls in this continuum.
