Which College GameDay picker was alone in picking Penn State over Michigan?

Penn State is kicking things off against the Michigan Wolverines in a game expected to be led by the defenses, and all but one College GameDay picker is riding with the Nittany Lions against the Wolverines.

Kirk Herbstreit was the lone pick for Penn State in the weekly picks as the panel was reviewing, briefly, the Penn State-Michigan game. Herbstreit made note of how well Penn State’s defense has been all season and complimented the recent performance and overall production of quarterback Sean Clifford this season in rationalizing why he was picking the Nittany Lions.

Desmon Howard, a Michigan alum, wasted no time in picking the Wolverines. And Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, who was the celebrity guest picker for the week, also picked Michigan after saying he thought Penn State was very tough on the game film he watched earlier this season in preparing for an SEC game against Auburn.

Lee Corso gave Kiffin the “good pick” treatment in picking a low-scoring game between Michigan and Penn State while also siding with the Wolverines.

Either Herbstreit will look like the smart guy on the set or he’ll go down swinging against the grain.
