LB Tremaine Edmunds
If we’re ranking these three, by the sheer number of age, Tremaine Edmunds might be the best fit for a 10-year deal. When the Bills drafted him, he was only 19 years old and even now, he’s only 22 and already has two seasons of NFL experience under his belt. That and his position of linebacker often sees guys their 30s producing well. Like wine, Edmunds’ skills in the center of the Bills defense can just continue to grow and grow over the course of a decade-long deal. Since Day 1, he’s really been an athletic freak and that’s something that might not change for a long, long time.
In 2019 we saw Edmunds earn his first Pro Bowl nod as the quarterback of Buffalo’s defense. With a cornerstone piece and team leader in the heart of their unit already established, keeping that around for another 10 years is easy. In fact, in a decade from now, Edmunds would still even be in-line to sign another solid deal, if things turned out well enough.
