OL Evan Boehm
While the opt-outs came elsewhere, injury struck Buffalo’s offensive line. Last season’s starting right guard, Jon Feliciano, was lost for an extended period due to a chest injury. That triggered the Bills to sign Brian Winters in an effort to replace him.
Along with that roster movement, two other moves along the interior of the Bills’ O-line signal an opportunity for Evan Boehm. Garrett McGhin and more importantly, Spencer Long were cut by the Bills. Without those two, Boehm has a look at being an important depth piece for the Bills, or perhaps even taking Feliciano’s spot. Like Long, Boehm has versatility to play both guard and center for Buffalo, similar to Long’s duties and Feliciano’s.
In addition, the 28-year-old has some familiarity with the Bills, too. Boehm spent time with Bills offensive line coach Bobby Johnson while with the Colts. Because of that experience, the stars are aligning for Boehm to grab a depth spot in Buffalo if he preforms well at camp.
