Where SEC teams land in US LBM Coaches Poll after rivalry week

Florida took care of business against Florida State this weekend, but the Gators aren’t one of the seven SEC teams ranked in the US LBM Coaches Poll.

Rivalry week in college football didn’t disappoint, and the US LBM Coaches Poll saw a ton of changes as the regular season concluded on Saturday.

Florida didn’t receive any votes after securing a winning season by defeating in-state rival Florida State, but that’s a game the Gators have been expected to win for most of the year.

Oregon stayed on top of the poll, but Ohio State lost its No. 2 ranking after falling to the Michigan Wolverines. Now it’s the Texas Longhorns, Penn State Nittany Lions, Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Georgia Bulldogs inside the top five behind the Ducks.

SEC programs in Coaches Poll Top 25

The Southeastern Conference saw seven teams finish inside the top 20 at the end of the regular season. Besides Texas and Georgia mentioned above, the Tennessee Volunteers sit at No. 6, the Alabama Crimson Tide at No. 11, the South Carolina Gamecocks at No. 12, the Ole Miss Rebels at No. 15 and the Missouri Tigers are back up to No. 20 in the poll.

Texas A&M‘s convincing loss to Texas at home sends the Aggies out of the top 25, but they are the unofficial No. 26 team in the country with 90 poll points this week.
