Where Sean McDermott landed in Coach of the Year voting

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott in Coach of the Year voting.

Prior to the Super Bowl, the NFL handed out their yearly awards on Saturday. The Buffalo Bills were represented there, but didn’t take home any hardware.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott was a candidate for Coach of the Year. He didn’t win it as the Baltimore Ravens coach in John Harbaugh ran away with the voting. Harbaugh earned 27 votes for the AP NFL Coach of the Year. The next closest was the 49ers’ bench boss, Kyle Shanahan with 14.

In total, McDermott only landed two votes. The only candidate who received less was Saints coach Sean Payton, who got one.

Between McDermott and Shanahan was Packers coach Matt LaFleur with three. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin also received two votes.
