Fall is in full swing. We are in the middle of an exciting college football season, fans are getting their first looks at their 2025 teams that will be on the diamond over the next month for fall games.
However, today is all about the AP Top 25 Poll for college basketball and where the Texas A&M basketball team is ranked. After one of Buzz Williams’ better post-season runs while with the Aggies and the majority of his core of the experienced team returning The AP has placed them in the No. 13 spot in the nation.
The SEC is well-represented with nine teams in the top 25 and the Alabama Crimson Tide with the highest-ranking team sitting in the No. 2 spot. Texas A&M being in the middle of the pack to start the season puts just the right amount of pressure on this team to make better in the post-season this season.
Below are where all of the SEC teams are ranked in this preseason AP Top 25 Poll:

No. 12 Tennessee
No. 13 Texas A&M
No. 16 Arkansas
No. 19 Texas
No. 21 Florida
No. 23 Kentucky
No. 24 Ole Miss
As you can see there will not be a lot of room for error this season with most of the teams occupying the middle of the rankings. On paper this appears to be a competitive season, and it will be interesting to look back at the rankings after the season.
