The LSU Tigers enter this week’s NCAA Tournament playing their best basketball of the season. The Tigers were mere seconds away from winning their first SEC Tournament in 41 years on Sunday before falling to Alabama, 80-79.

Despite falling short in the SEC championship, LSU ended up as a No. 8 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Tigers will play Atlantic 10 champion, St. Bonaventure, in the first round.

So, with LSU’s recent success, was it enough for the Tigers to make an appearance in the latest Ferris Mowers Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports?

Unfortunately, the Tigers didn’t make the top 25, however, they did receive 13 votes. LSU didn’t receive any votes in the previous two polls.
