The Alabama Crimson Tide currently reside within the top-four teams in the nation, which puts them in position to compete for a national championship in the College Football Playoff.
Entering the 2021 season, most college football fans would tell you that the No. 1 team would be a shoe-in for the playoff. However, Texas A&M somewhat foiled those plans.
The top-ranked Crimson Tide lost on the road to a then-unranked Aggies team, dropping them as low as No. 5 on the rankings.
Now that the team has clawed their way back near the top, fans are wondering what’s in store for Alabama after the regular season.
Well, the latest USA TODAY Bowl Game projections gives insight as to where they could land.
According to the projections, the top-four teams are (in no particular order): Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma.
Georgia and Oklahoma would face off in the Cotton Bowl, while Alabama and Ohio State will get a rematch of the 2020 College Football Playoff national championship back in Miami, Florida for the Orange Bowl.
