Where does the Texas A&M quarterback situation rank in the SEC?

Where do the A&M Quarterbacks rank in the SEC?

The biggest question surrounding the 2022 Aggies Football team, is who will be the starting quarterback, and how well will they play, and where in the SEC pecking order will the Aggie QBs fall? ON3’s Jesse Simonton set out to answer that question by ranking the SEC Quarterbacks.

Alabama’s Bryce Young predictably sits atop the rankings coming off of his heisman winning campaign in 2021, followed by KJ Jefferson of Arkansas, and Hendon Hooker of Tennessee.

As for the Aggies, the combination of Max Johnson, Haynes King, and Conner Weigmann , come in at #9 on his list, the highest of any team with an ongoing competition.

Simonton’s thoughts on the Aggie’s signal callers?

Max Johnson or Haynes King or Conner Weigman, Texas A&M– The Aggies have the most interesting quarterback competition in the country this offseason considering the rest of the team’s upside as a playoff contender. At LSU, Johnson put up solid numbers (35 touchdowns in two seasons) but didn’t win many games (just five SEC wins). King was injured before his 2021 season could even get going, while Weigman is a total wild card as a five-star freshman who helped build A&M’s historic recruiting class.
