3. David Woodley (24, 97)
The late David Woodley was 4-of-14 for 97 yards with a TD and a pick in a 27-17 loss to Washington in Super Bowl XVII. One of Woodley’s completions went for 76 yards to Jimmy Cefalo to give Miami a 7-0 lead. Faced with second-and-6 on its 24, Woodley froze hard-charging lineman Dexter Manley with a pump fake before throwing Cefalo, who caught the ball ahead of single coverage by safety Tony Peters at the Redskins’ 45 and raced untouched down the right sideline.
