The latest Amway Coaches Poll, powered by USA TODAY Sports, is out and the Alabama Crimson Tide remain No. 1.
Where are the defending national champion LSU Tigers?
After an ugly 20-7 loss to the No. 5 Texas A&M Aggies, the Tigers fell to 3-4 on the season and remain unranked. After receiving three votes for the top 25 last week, LSU received none in this week’s poll.
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish remain No. 2 this week after last week’s win over a good North Carolina squad. Clemson moved up one spot to No. 3, while Ohio State falls one spot to No. 4.
The Buckeyes had their game against Illinois postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak.
The Florida Gators maintain their hold on the No. 5 spot after a win over Kentucky.
The rest of the top 10 remains unchanged, with Texas A&M, Cincinnati, Brigham Young, Miami and Georgia holding onto those spots, respectively.
This week’s other notable moves saw Oklahoma moving up to No. 13, Coastal Carolina moving up three positions to No. 14, and USC up to No. 16.
Meanwhile, Oregon tumbles nine spots to No. 20 after losing to in-state rival Oregon State.
Auburn, Texas and North Carolina all exit the Amway Poll this week, while Washington, Iowa and Liberty are in.
