Where are the Blue Devils in USA TODAY Sports March Madness prediction?

With the postseason set to begin and less than a month before the national championship, USA TODAY Sports released a new bracket projection.

The college basketball postseason is finally upon us, and we’re less than a week from the March Madness field being filled out.

Before the ACC Tournament began on Tuesday, USA TODAY Sports released a new full-field bracket projection. The Blue Devils slotted in as the No. 3 seed in the South region, the exact same spot they were in Joe Lunardi’s Tuesday projection.

Duke would square off with Toledo in the opening round, with either Texas Tech or James Madison awaiting in the second round should the Blue Devils win.

Houston and Marquette slotted in as the top two spots in the region, with Purdue, Tennessee, and Connecticut nabbing the other three No. 1 spots.

The Tar Heels finished as the No. 2 seed in the East region, sharing a bracket with the Huskies.

The ACC dropped back down to four total berths after Wake Forest slipped back down to the First Four Out. Clemson (No. 6, Midwest) and Virginia (No. 11, West) remained in the field.
