Offense, offense, offense
Even after Kliff Kingsburg was fired, Texas Tech’s bread and butter have been offense and lots of it. Matt Wells came over from Utah State and has kept the same air-raid style of attack in place.
On the flip side, the Red Raiders’ defense seems as if it not improved in year two. Houston Baptist’s ariel attack seemed unstoppable on Sept. 12 and nearly won them the ball game. Both Texas and Texas Tech are going to have offensive success on Saturday.
This would be nothing new to this series. In the last four out of five matchups, at least one team has scored at least 40 points. In 2015, the Red Raiders won in Austin 48-45. We know what kind of day Sam Ehlinger is capable of having. The question will become Texas’ defense and how many times they can hold Texas Tech’s offense.
