Boston Celtics reserve floor general Malcolm Brogdon was very nearly dealt to the Los Angeles Clippers as part of a three-team deal bringing back star big man Kristaps Porzingis. The deal eventually changed to swapping veteran point guard Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies.

But, until recently, the package the Clippers would have sent out in the original version of the deal was unknown. In the wake of those details emerging, the hosts of the CLNS Media “How Bout Them Celtics!” podcast weighed in on the deal that might have been vs. the one that was, and how the trajectory of the franchise might have been altered.

Check out the clip embedded below to hear for yourself what they had to say about the swap that could have sent out the 2023 Sixth Man of the Year for Porzingis instead.
