The Bills, Packers, and Chiefs all have one thing in common, and no it’s not they all have elite quarterbacks.
With Sunday’s 29-15 win over the Atlanta Falcons, the Buffalo Bills boosted their record to 10-6. Not even needing a 17th game, the Bills became one of three NFL teams with the Packers and Chiefs to record double-digit wins in each of the last three seasons.
The Bills finished 10-6 in 2019 and 13-3 in 2020, respectively.
2019 was the first time the Bills recorded double-digit wins in two decades with their last season totaling that many in 1999 with 11 wins.
The last time the Bills had three or more straight seasons of double-digit wins was 1990-1993 when they went to the Super Bowl four times.
Bills fans hope 2022 will be the year they make it back after a loss in the AFC Championship game last season.
Under Sean McDermott, the Bills are 48-32 with three playoff appearances already and have clinched their fourth in five seasons. That’s the most successful stretch of playoffs since 1988-1999 when the Bills made the playoffs in 10 out of 12 seasons.
Maybe McDermott and Allen are the new Levy and Kelly after all.
In the AFL days, the Bills made the playoffs four consecutive seasons from 1963-1966, winning two championships in the process.
