Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian spoke with the media on Monday afternoon.
He provided an injury update on numerous players, as well as touched on how the first scrimmage went. Unfortunately for the Longhorns, Sarkisian confirmed that wide receiver Isaiah Neyor and offensive lineman Junior Angilau will be sidelined for the 2022 season due to a torn ACL.
Cole Hutson, Roschon Johnson and Jahdae Barron are also expected to miss time over the next few weeks, but Sarkisian sounds hopeful that the trio will be ready to go by Week 1.
Sarkisian was of course asked about the quarterback competition between Hudson Card and Quinn Ewers as well. It doesn’t sound like Sarkisian is ready to name a starter at this time and both players have room for improvement.
Here’s a look at everything Sarkisian discussed with the media today.
