What if the Boston Celtics could trade for Damian Lillard without including Jaylen Brown?

Is this enough for both sides to get back to make such a swap make sense?

Fans of the Boston Celtics have not been too enthusiastic about the idea of trading away Jaylen Brown for Damian Lillard for the most part as rumbles about the latter’s availability have percolated up from the Portland Trail Blazers’ media sphere. But what if the veteran point guard were available via a trade that retained Brown for Boston?

Such is a proposal recently floated and discussed on an episode of the “Arbella Early Edition” show on NBC Sports Boston. The hypothetical deal would see 2023 Sixth Man of the Year Malcolm Brogdon, big man Robert Williams III, and reserve guard Payton Pritchard sent with picks to Portland.

Is this enough for both sides to get back to make such a swap make sense?

Check out the clip embedded above to hear what the hosts had to say about such a prospective swap.
