It seems playing for the Boston Celtics as a frontcourt player can be a fountain of youth. Veteran Boston big man Blake Griffin is having a rejuvenation season similar to what Al Horford enjoyed during Boston’s last campaign. The onetime Oklahoma standout looks as though he has turned back the clock on nights when he fills in for Horford.
Of course, Horford is on a limited schedule and does not play both games of a back-to-back, giving Griffin plenty of time to rest between big-minute outings. What can the Oklahoma native give the Celtics this season playing under such a rotation?
The team clearly hopes it looks like what he did against the Toronto Raptors on Monday, but even if that’s a rare night for the six-time All-Star, Boston fans are loving what they see.
The hosts of the CLNS Media Garden Report podcast got together to talk it over in a recent segment — take a look at the clip embedded above to hear what they had to say.
