When the Buffalo Bills face the New York Jets on “Monday Night Football” during their Week 6 matchup it will look different.
The Jets fired head coach Robert Saleh after a 2-3 start. The team was fresh off a 23-17 loss to the undefeated Minnesota Vikings and there is always additional off-field headlines attached to a coach’s firing.
In New York, speculation circles around how much quarterback Aaron Rodgers played into the equation.
Regardless of all that, there is still a game to play and when a new person is in charge a locker room can become motivated.
The Bills (3-2) have to be ready for that. Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott knows that and that’s where his focus is regarding Saleh’s dismissal.
“Unfortunate part of our business,” McDermott said. “Really, for us, we’ve got to focus on our team.”
