What a Giants trade back in the NFL Draft might look like

If the New York Giants did trade back in the 2020 NFL Draft, what might it look like? We examine.

There’s lots of speculation and suggestions on what the New York Giants will and can do with the No. 4 overall selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

When the commissioner puts them on the clock on April 23, there will be likely be all four top offensive tackles plus defensive stud Isaiah Simmons staring at them on the board.

Many Giant fans would like to see general manager Dave Gettleman trade the pick for a package of selections. The Giants do not have their own third round pick (No. 68), having traded that to the Jets in the Leonard Williams deal, but do have the 99th selection as a result of being awarded a compensatory selection.

Fans would like to see the Giants not duplicate last year’s draft, where they didn’t select between picks 30 and 95. This year, they select 36th and then won’t pick again until 99. A trade of the 4th overall selection could get them back in that range without damaging their chances of getting the player they want in the first round.

Here’s the reality of what a trade back could look like.

According to Draftek.com’s Trade Value Chart, the Giants’ first round pick (No. 4) is worth 1800 points. Based on that, here are the scenarios using just 2020 selections with the possible teams that could be looking to move up in the draft.

Los Angeles Chargers
