West Virginia moves to 5-0 at home in this week in the Big 12

This week’s Big 12 slate saw limited but competitive action as the top half of the conference (and Kansas) sat out, leaving the teams ranked sixth through ninth (namely, West Virginia, TCU, Baylor and Texas Tech) to battle it out.

West Virginia faced TCU in a game where both teams were looking to make a statement victory and separate themselves from the bottom of the conference. The second game pit Baylor against Texas Tech—two teams desperately looking for a win of any kind.

This week’s slate will go a long way in determining the final pecking order for the latter half of the Big 12, even with the conference’s upper echelon staying in and preparing for the home stretch, one which will include several A-list matchups: Iowa State-Kansas State, Kansas State-Texas, Iowa State-Texas, and, of course, next weeks Bedlam game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.
