Week 9 in the SEC will feature the return of the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville, Florida when the Bulldogs and Gators meet. There will only be one meeting of top 25 teams when No. 3 Tennessee hosts No. 17 Kentucky in Knoxville.
After losing to South Carolina in Columbia, the Texas A&M Aggies set their sights on evening their record at .500. Jimbo Fisher and company will host No. 12 Ole Miss. This game features Lane Kiffin facing off with his former defensive coordinator DJ Durkin, who left Oxford for College Station after Mike Elko took the Duke head coaching job.
“We got outbid,” Kiffin said about Durkin leaving for Texas A&M. “Kind of common theme with that program.” Looks like there will be no shortage of fireworks in this matchup. Ole Miss is coming off the loss to LSU where they were outscored 42-3 from the second quarter until the final gun went off.
Alabama, LSU, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt are on their open week. As we do each week, the SEC editors on the College Wire network make their predictions for each conference game on the schedule.
