The Washington Commanders returned to the practice field Wednesday in preparation for their Week 9 game against the New England Patriots.
It was a new-look Washington squad, with defensive ends Chase Young and Montez Sweat no longer a part of the team. Several players reacted to the news, noting how much they’d miss Young and Sweat, but understood the business side of football.
Four Washington players missed practice Wednesday, but two absences were due to veteran’s rest. Also missing practice was wide receiver Curtis Samuel, who left Sunday’s loss to the Eagles with a toe injury. Rookie OL Ricky Stromberg also injured his knee in Sunday’s loss.
