Week 11 Inactives: Cowboys without Heath, Williams, Lions no Stafford, Hand

The official inactive lists for the game between the Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions are out now.

The Dallas Cowboys enter Sunday’s road game with the Detroit Lions as not only the favorites, but the healthier club. Injury report watching is always stressful business, especially the way the Cowboys have managed the loads of some of their star veterans.

Safety Jeff Heath will be inactive which comes as no surprise after Josh Jones was promoted from the practice squad, presumably for this exact reason. Tackle La’el Collins is ready to go despite dealing with both a knee and back ailment that has hampered him throughout the season. His fellow line mate, guard Connor Williams, who underwent arthroscopic surgery on his knee, will be unavailable.

Other inactives include wide receivers Cedrick Wilson and Devin Smith, defensive linemen Joe Jackson and Trysten Hill and linebacker Luke Gifford.

The other sideline in Detroit has bigger issues. It comes as no surprise that quarterback Matthew Stafford is inactive, as he was ruled out on Friday for the second consecutive game with fractured bones in his back. He will be joined in street clothes by defensive end Da’Shawn Hand, offensive tackle Rick Wagner, former Cowboys in offensive tackle Dan Skipper and cornerback Michael Jackson, guard Beau Benzschawel and defensive end Romeo Okwara. Cornerback Darius Slay, despite dealing with a neck issue earlier in the week, is a go.
