The Miami Dolphins will be home once again this weekend for another showdown against a west coast team — and the team is hoping to replicate some of the results from the last time a team from Los Angeles came to town. That was, of course, just two weeks ago when the Dolphins defeated the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 28-17 and celebrated the first start of rookie quarterback Tua Tagovailoa’s career in style. Offense, defense and special teams were all a part of the party that day — and Miami may need all three phases to show up in a big way again today as the Dolphins host the Los Angeles Chargers.
This matchup will be a little different than Miami’s previous home games to date; mainly because the kickoff has been pushed into the later afternoon spot and Miami won’t have the full benefit of the South Florida sun bearing down on the Chargers sideline throughout the first half of the game.
We can’t expect the sun, but what can we expect from the South Florida weather this afternoon for game time? Here is the latest forecast for this afternoon’s showdown with the Chargers.
Location: Hard Rock Stadium — Miami Gardens, FL
Kickoff: 4:05 PM EST
- High Temperature: 82 degrees
- Percent rain: 15%
- Humidity: 69%
- Wind: 15 mph
It’s going to be a pass happy affair given the weather and the forecast of each team’s backfield for this contest — and why not? The Chargers and Dolphins feature two bright young rookie quarterbacks, it would have been a total shame to see the showdown muddled by wind and rain. That doesn’t appear to be in the cards this afternoon, so set your clocks accordingly and get excited for game day, Dolphins fans!
