Wisconsin football cruised in the second half to a 42-28 Duke’s Mayo Bowl win over Wake Forest, but the real postgame story had to do with a broken trophy.
While dancing in the locker room, Wisconsin QB Graham Mertz accidentally fumbled the Badger hardware. The result was not just a shattered Duke’s Mayo Bowl trophy, but a new and improved look for the hardware courtesy of Mertz’s improvisation:
