Wisconsin legend Russell Wilson leads Broncos to last-minute win

Don’t look now, but the Denver Broncos are 5-5 on the season and former Wisconsin quarterback Russell Wilson is playing some really good football.

Last year’s disaster under Nathaniel Hackett is proving to be that, a Hackett-related disaster. New head coach Sean Payton and Wilson now have the rejuvenated Broncos on a four-game win streak after last night’s 21-20 win over the Vikings.

Wilson was 27/35 in the contest for 259 yards, 1 touchdown and zero interceptions. His season line is now up to 69% completion, 2065 yards, 19 touchdowns and four interceptions, plus 42 carries for 232 rushing yards.

He isn’t quite the Russell Wilson of old. But 2023 has been an impressive return to solid play from the Wisconsin legend.

You can add last night’s game-winning touchdown pass to Courtland Sutton to the mounting pile of evidence that Russ may be back:
