Wisconsin class of 2025 linebacker commit Brenden Anes shared highlights from his first game as a senior at Page High School on Saturday via X.
In each defensive sequence in the clip, Anes lines up as an outside backer and tracks down the quarterback or running back with tenacity.
The most notable highlight arrives when Anes bursts toward the quarterback after he fakes a handoff and buries him into the turf. With a full head of steam as a 6-foot-2, 220-pound linebacker, Anes pinned the opposing quarterback roughly eight yards backward on the solo sack.
Other plays showcase the Franklin, Tennessee product flying around the field to disrupt rushing attacks or screen passes. He also utilized his blocking ability to steamroll an opposing rusher on special teams.

Anes committed to Luke Fickell’s program in January 2024 after fielding offers from Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Memphis, Indiana and Duke. He, alongside four-star Mason Posa, three-star Samuel Lateju and three-star Cooper Catalano, make up Wisconsin’s linebacker room for its class of 2025.
If Anes continues to wreck havoc on high school offenses in Tennessee, UW’s 2025 linebacker core could be one of the nation’s most promising. With history producing some of the most prolific professional linebackers of the 21st century, Anes’ ceiling is as high as any of Wisconsin’s commits.
